Jacob Ward is Gameplay Programmer III at Cloud Imperium Games as part of the Squadron 42 Feature Team.[1][2]

He joined as Junior Gameplay Programmer in May 2020 before becoming gameplay Programmer II then III.[3]

Other Works

He was an Astrophysics researcher focusing on investigating the origins of OB associations using data from ESA’s Gaia mission, and developing the first multi-tracer timeline of star formation in the Large Magellanic Cloud.[1][4]

Early Life

He has a Phd in Astrophysics, for which he worked primarily on high-resolution integral field spectroscopy of massive YSOs in the Magellanic Clouds.[1][4]

  • He was part of the team that first detected the complex organic molecules dimethyl ether and methyl formate outside of our galaxy for the first time.[5]
