Nicolas "Viag" Ferrand is a Concept Artist who worked on Star Citizen.

He worked on the 890 Jump and Nyx.[1] He worked on Astro Armada and CenterMass.[2]

Other Works

He switched from 3D to 2D when he went to work in Montreal.[3]

Nicolas Ferrand worked on Splinter cell 2, Ghost recon 2 for Ubisoft paris ; Then he moved to Canada to work on Splinter cell 3, Prince of persia 3, Splinter Cell 4, Assassins Creed, Far Cry 2, Avatar , Assassins 2, Thief 4, Batman Arkham Origins, Star wars battlefront II , Star Wars Squadrons , Dead Space remake, Deus Ex Mankind Divided .[4][5]

He worked on the Defiance TV show.[6] He worked on Singularity, a cancelled Roland Emmerich movie.[7]

He worked among others on book covers for The Deep by John Crowley & The Forest of Hours by Kerstin Ekman.[8][9] He also did the cover for Pathfinder - Korvosa City Guide.[9]

Early Life

He studied ceramic sculpting at the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art from1995 to 1997and 3D and multimedia at the École supérieure des arts et industries graphiques from 1998 to 1999.[10]

Trivia

  • Growing up he was into Game Watches, Amstrad CPC, Quake programming, 80s cartoons, such as Captain Harlock, Grendizer and Fist of the North Star, French comic books and anything related to the movie industry.[3]
